Workshop for Chinese Language Teachers

We are delighted to invite you to our next workshop day for teachers of Chinese which will take place at Goldsmiths, University of London on Saturday 24th September, 2016.

This FREE event is suitable for teachers of Chinese who are working in secondary, university or adult learning environments.

Over three 90 minute sessions, our professional teacher-trainers will cover a range of practical activities and strategies for teaching post-beginners, improving literacy and reading skills, and using games effectively in the Chinese language classroom.

  • Session 1: Overcoming Post-beginners' Anxiety: Challenges and Strategies, Dr. Zhu Zhu - University of Edinburgh

  • Session 2: Boosting Students' Literacy, Dr. Theresa Munford - St. Gregory's Bath

  • Session 3: Using Classroom Games Effectively, Helen Day - Freelance Trainer

There will be a final short session on Discover China - a four level course for Mandarin published by Macmillan Education and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP).

This workshop day is jointly sponsored by Macmillan Education, FLTRP and Goldsmiths.
