Wild Zebra - Edinburgh Playhouse

EDINBURGH PLAYHOUSE, THURSDAY 13 AUGUST, 7.00 PM

Wild Zebra is a fantasy ballet, with symphony orchestra accompaniment, showcasing the accomplishments of a troupe of young Chinese performers (8-12 years) from Beijing Zhongguancun No.2 Primary School. It was created by Zhang Jigang, deputy director and choreographer of the 2008 Beijing Olympic opening and closing ceremonies.

In order to gain immortality, Black Bear Queen needs a cloak made from wild zebra hides. To enable her beloved Wild Zebra to escape, Zebra Girl sacrifices her life. As the drama builds to a crescendo, the wild beasts howl in accompaniment. Children will receive a small gift from China!
