Modern China, Beautiful Tianjin: Online Winter Camp (Secondary)

CISS are delighted to announce the upcoming launch of Modern China, Beautiful Tianjin - an exciting new online winter camp for secondary students across Scotland that are studying Chinese at the BGE stage and beyond. 

Starting w/c 15 November, this five-week block of livestreamed classes and supplementary topic-based videos will take your students on a virtual tour of one of China’s modern mega-cities, help develop their contextualised language skills, and enhance their understanding of everyday life in China today. 

Designed to fit around your school’s regular classes live sessions will be scheduled during your school’s lunch period.

  • Twice-weekly livestreamed classes (25mins/class)

  • Five supplementary video lessons (40mins/video) – led by previous CISS colleagues and Chinese Exchange Teachers.

  • Wide range of topics: geography, environment, and significant historical sites; traditional arts and crafts; local cuisine and famous snacks; modern architecture and high-tech infrastructure
