Chinese Arts and Culture Festival in Edinburgh

From Jie Song, Chairman: The Scotland China Chamber of Commerce is holding the 3rd Chinese Arts and Culture Festival on August 12. A number of Scottish and Chinese officials as well as Chinese art delegates will attend our opening ceremony. Near 500 Chinese artists and official from China will attend our festival which including two performance teams from Chinese Dance Association, Wuhan Beijing opera and 2047 Apologue directed by Chinese famous director Zhang Yimou. Around 2000 Scottish and Chinese audience will enjoy our performance and exhibition. Registered under the FRINGE, Chinese Arts and Culture Festival has become one of the most influential Chinese art-related events in Edinburgh, promoting Scottish-Chinese cultural exchange and Scotland tourism.

Here, we are very honored to invite SCEN Members to attend the 3rd Chinese Arts and Culture Festival Opening ceremony and, all your colleagues and friends are welcome to attend.

Opening ceremony and arts seminar time: 11:00-13:30, 12th of August
Show time: 14:00-18:00, 12th of August
Venue: Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Free refreshment is provided.

2047 Apologue is our featured stage performance directed by Zhang Yimou. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented directors around the world. Zhang is well-known for directing the opening and closing ceremonies during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
