SCEN Ambassadors' Conference 2014

09 June 2014

Judith_McClure_CBEDear Members of SCEN,

The SCEN Ambassadors' Conference 2014, in partnership with the Confucius Institute for Scotland, will take place at the Playfair Library, Old College, University of Edinburgh on Monday 29 Sept.

  • 10.00 am                   Arrival and light refreshments
  • 10.30 am                   Conference in the Playfair Library
  • 12.30 pm                   Light Lunch

There will be a Meeting of the Board of SCEN from 1.30 - 3.30 pm in the Raeburn Room.

The Conference will attract a wide audience and our aim will be unashamedly to persuade policy makers, school leaders, students and parents that it is vital to have the opportunity, in our schools, colleges and universities,  to learn Chinese and about China!

SCEN Ambassadors are very warmly welcomed and will have a lead role. I attach the list I have at present for 2014-2015: please will you let me know as soon as you can if I have omitted the names of Ambassadors who want to continue in their role next session, and new Ambassadors?

I also need your bookings for the SCEN Ambassadors' Conference! Small groups only, please: SCEN events fill up within a week, often in 48 hours. So please do respond to this email now!

If you do not wish to receive further updates from SCEN, please simply reply to this email and let me know.

Very best wishes, Judith
