Graeme Pearson MSP, Convener of the Cross Party Group on China, led a most interesting China Debate in the Scottish Parliament on 5 September. Graeme spoke with great clarity and force, and stressed among other areas the vital importance of the learning of Mandarin in our schools. It was excellent to see the cross-party support and the strong agreement of Humza Yousaf MSP, Minister for External Affairs and International Development, who responded on behalf of the Scottish Government.
