27 April 2013

IMG_2412.jpgI am delighted to invite you to the Confucius Institute for Scotland/SCEN Ambassadors' Conference, which will take place on Friday 14 June 2013 at the historic and beautiful Playfair Library, Old College, the University of Edinburgh, from 10.30 am - 3.00 pm.

The theme of the Conference is Learning in China and in Scotland, agreed by the SCEN Youth Committee as the development of an important aspect of the G50 Declarations, which were the result of the SCEN China Youth Summit at Gleneagles.

The SCEN Conference this year is in partnership with the Confucius Institute for Scotland at the University of Edinburgh, and I hope all our Confucius Institutes and Hubs will be represented among the usual wide-ranging list.

SCEN events are quickly booked. Please email me now to secure free places for you and/or your group. Do let me know if you or any of them would like to make a short, 3-4 minute presentation on the theme. This term's Conference will be very special and led by the new SCEN Youth Committee and Ambassadors. They will be interviewing prominent guests, including Lord Wilson, and a panel of Headteachers who took part in the latest China Visit organised by CISS.

As at Gleneagles, you will be welcomed to the Conference by the award-winning SCEN Piper, Aaron Hossain. Book now: judithmcclure12a@aol.com
