Symposium on Improving National Quality Education

Approved by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Seal Cutting Exhibition (Seal Cutting and Calligraphy Art by Li Lanqing) will be held from October 2012 to January 2013 in the United Kingdom.

The event is part of a series of celebration activities commemorating forty years of Sino-U.K. diplomatic relations, and is also within the framework of China - U.K. High- Level People to People Exchange Mechanism. The event will exhibit seals and calligraphies of Li Lanqing, hoping to draw a closer and deeper understanding of the elegance of traditional Chinese culture, and to further develop culture, education and trade exchanges, and to share social development and success of China after the reform and opening-up policy.

As part of the exhibition, a Symposium on Improving National Quality Education will be held in London on November 13th, 2012, with the support by Institute of Education, University of London. The Symposium will invite delegates from Chinese and U.K. universities to exchange and discuss ideas concerning the improvement in general education and higher education, and share experiences related to improving national education quality.
